Sure, it will work. The Kelvin temperature relates to the color of the light. I chose cool white, which is about 3,000° Kelvin color temperature. 6,000° Kelvin temperature is too much into the blue range for me and does not look right or natural in my opinion, but that's all personal preference.
The lower the Kelvin temperature (e.g. 2,700°) the warmer or toward red the light's color is - and the higher the Kelvin temperature (e.g. 6,000°) the cooler (colder) or toward blue the light's color is.

Just received my BMWLED/supplier projector Lexus front door courtesy lamps today. I followed a couple of others suggestion and added some extra tape to protect the circuits in the event of any water finding its way down inside the door and installed them in about a minute each side. Just look at the one to go in and that will guide you which side to gently insert a screwdriver and pry out easily/gently. After the trunk led upgrade this looks awesome. Can't wait to show off to my colleagues with Lexus'

Fyi 3000k light temp is basically yellow.
If the bulb says cool white it is usually around the 5500k- 5000k temp. Warm white will be around 4200k-4000k (like a normal incandescent bulb colour)
As an example your interior led dome light in your car will be around 5000k- a very clean very white light.

I agree! I recommend spending another $14 on a Diode Dynamics SMD12 LED Board to replace the bulb in the trunk...

I got mine from bmwled on ebay, the light cut off when the door open for a minute or so. Close and re-open the door or press the door jam switch turn on the light for another minute. Did I get a faulty led but I double it because both are cutting off after 50 second?

That's a timeout circuit in the LED light, which is working as designed.

Got mine done last night. Looks cool. However I wasn't able to put the clip back. So pushed the projector lamp w/o the clip and seem to be staying tight and fit. Does anyone think I did it wrong? See the 3rd image. That's the clip that will not budge. It was too cold in the garage and my fingers were hurting. So gave it up and saved the clip.

The grey snap-on cover does not fit on the aftermarket LED light. The cover is not needed because the aftermarket light is LED (not hot like incandescent) and there are no open electrical contacts. The grey snap-on cover enclosed the hot (when lit) incandescent lamp and its open electrical contacts on the OE unit. Just save the cover along with the OE lights.
