How Often Do You Go WOT (Wide Open Throttle) With Your GS 350?

Just WOT tonight passing a truck that was hogging the fast lane. I just couldn't take it anymore and I passed him like he was standing still and scared the crap out of my passenger. This car has a lot of power.

i hope you downshift when you want a good boost while at cruising speeds.

Pedal to the metal and that last click at the end of the pedal does it for me.

Got on it for the first time after 2 months and 900 miles of ownership.
Faster then I expected-plenty enough oomph for a sedan...

I don't like to give it the beans until the engine is warmed up. At this time of year, where I live, my commute is short enough the engine never does warm all the way up. So WOT has to wait for a longer trip on the weekend. I don't know what people do in the rest of Canada where there's real winter. The kind where after you start the car in the morning, you have to drive for a couple of miles before the tires become round again.

I'd say that at 45°F ambient temperature (for example) - the engine oil could take an 'additional' 10-15+ minutes to reach the optimum 100°C (212°F) and the transmission could take another 10 minutes or longer to reach ~80°C (175°F).

Most of the time I find you cannot enjoy pure unadulterated WOT unless you turn off ALL the traction controls.. I will feel a slight surge and see the traction light flash on and off, letting me know wot didn’t fully occur the whole time, sadly.
I am curious now, how often do you guys go wot WITHOUT traction controls on? Or do you also notice the ecu stepping in to ruin the fun?!

Hmm. I use to turn off the tcs all of the time because my previous car was a fwd 2.0T so it'd spin like mad. So when I got the GS I turned off tcs when I wanted to floor it.. Basically useless. The car doesn't have any torque so really I'm just wasting my time. Idk if you're on a wet road or maybe holding the brake first? That's the only time I can get my wheels to spin, just a little.
You never see your tcs light up upon acceleration? Are you 2015 RWD too? Is this true for most here?
Maybe I got an extra powerful beast on my hands, or extra sensitive TCS...? I'd like to see more input on the tcs light under WOT here please. I wanna say I've seen it light up even shifting into second under wot..
More experimentation is definitely in order for me it seems!
