Default Fluid Leaking.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has problem with their cars leaking fluids. I noticed that fluids were leaking from the car today and want to know if thats normal.
Are toyota transmission fluid clear?

Also, my rear shocks were leaking oil last week however the dealership was able to take care of that.

If it's clear and towards the front middle of the car then it's condensation water form the A/C. That's normal, every Toyotas I've had do that.

Yep, if it's clear, it's water and it's AC condensation.

Happens in many other cars.

The transmission fluid would be a red color. I agree with the guys, its just your AC run off. And if you are suspecting oil leaking from the rear suspension, if it under warranty take it to the dealer or just take it to a shop and give them like $20 to put it on a lift and you will be able to see if in fact there is a leak. How many miles does the vehicle have ? Is it AWD?

Thanks for the help .

Yeah, Lexus of Concord replaced the rear shocks for me.

They said that a lot of 2013 lexus gs350 have problems with their rear shocks leaking. So I guess, everyone should check their shocks ahahha.

I would suggest the next time you take your car in for service to have them check the water pump. I noticed a little bit of water dripping from under the center of the engine and just dismissed it as condensation, but the water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. If the service tech doesn't see any leaks (especially while it's running and the cooling system is under pressure), then you're probably in the clear and can just write it off to condensation from the A/C.

on a 13-15 GS that's crazy that it would go so early, if not did you mean a 3GS.
