This is not new news. The M3 has always out-handled the M5. The GSF should do the same since it weighs drastically less than the M5 and has a superior chassis. Now if you think the GSF will out-handle the M3, I got some swamp land to sell you.
Also, the GSF's chassis may even be better than the RCF's because it's not a Frankenstein setup but it's very own. The longer wheel base may affect it, however. We shall see.

The RC F starts at 60s and tops at 70s, I'm guessing the GS F will start at 70s and tops at 80s.

That's a good assumption. Geez, I saw an LS460 Crafted Line at the dealership today that went for $87k. I can't imagine Lexus won't keep the GS-F around $80k with decent options.

I am liking what I see except a few things (which i know have been pointed out in this thread)
1. Tailights are just ugly and cheap looking IMO (maybe they will grow on me, but I doubt it)
2. Is it me or do the pipes look kind of small and the whole rear end very unassuming? I feel it just needs more back there. Other than that I really like it.

Pricing will be very important in determining if this car is successful. BMW 550i with Msport is well equipped at around 74-75k and it's easy to get 7k off (can be 10k by the summer), resulting in about 67-68k purchase price.
The S6, which by all accounts is a superior car and does 0-60 in under 4 seconds in all the tests I have seen (I also have driven both of these cars and agree with reviews and the numbers), is well equipped at about 83k, with generally a 5k discount possible, resulting in about a 78k purchase price, which is about 10k higher than 550i Msport, slotting it between the 550i and M5, really both in pricing and performance.
Given the poor low-end torque of the NA (e.g. GS350 Fsport has terrible low-end torque) engine but somewhat negated by the lesser weight, I think the GS F needs to be priced at the 550i level to have a chance of being successful, meaning mid 70's well equipped with a sizable discount by winter 2015 to spring 2016.
In actuality, given brand prestige (e.g. really most people can lease or buy well equipped GS350 Fsport at the same price level as a well equipped 335i, with equally equipped 535i Msport really coming several thousand higher), I would find it hard for people to get GS F instead of BMW 550i if they were at the same price...

Actually, they might be priced similarly, give and take a few thousands due TVD being standard. The GSF is basically a 4 door RCF. As Yaguchi said, this car is for those who prefer a 4 door, so it will not eat each other's sales

A loaded GS F Sport is about $8000 more than a RC F Sport, so guess what the difference between a loaded GSF and RCF will likely be? $72,000 for a fairly loaded RCF plus $8,000 gives you $80,000 for a fairly loaded GSF.

Huge Disappointment! The GS F Doesn't Make Sense!
Why would anyone buy this car? At this price point far more powerful and just as prestigious cars can be had, including BMWs, and the new Cadillac CTS-V with over 600 HP! Heck, even the Dodge Charger Hellcat with over 700 HP can be had, and it would dust a Lexus GS F, totally humiliate it on the track or the highway. What was Lexus thinking?
I'm not a Lexus basher. I have a 4GS. But I'm also not a fanboy who doesn't believe Lexus can do no wrong. I don't have a favorite brand, so I'm not favoring another maker. In fact, I've never owned a Cadillac, BMW or Dodge, but there is no way I'd buy the underpowered GS F for that kind of money when a far more powerful sedan can be had for the same price and just as luxurious!
