Seems they want to compete with the CTS V-Sport, S6, 550 instead of the AMG, M, V.

So basically what the GS460 F-Sport should have been.

Overall I like it, but with that said.. I'll hang onto the one I have..

Exactly! They should've put this engine in the F-sport and give the F a much bigger engine. Imagine how many rave reviews they would get for doing that. In my ideal world, Lexus would put the LFA V10 in the GSF. One can dream...

Therefore, it should not be called the GSF. It's more like what the F-sport should be IMO.

I was at the dealer not too long ago. I saw a 15 crafted line with no pad. I thought they would all have pads now.
only RC and NX have the new touchpad

I'm marginally dissapointed that the 500hp rumor was not true. That said, this car shakes up the 550i, S6, VSport offerings and gives it an old school NA V8 with RWD and lighter than most. Perhaps the rumored 'FS' moniker will compete more favorably against some M's, AMG's, RS's.. or maybe this 5.0 is still a bridge engine here while a FI mill is being finalized. Either way I love this GS F. Let the saving begin!

This is a very nice GS500 F-Sport = E550 AMG package, 550i M-Sport, Audi S6

467 hp..........let the hating begin

I personally love it, an excellent start.

I can't believe people are hating on a 467 hp V8 GS..........this bring back the epic-ness of the 1998 300 hp V8 GS400. They must have forgot the dreadful 340 hp GS460.

Now let's see the LS-F and SC-F

Because it is very, very expensive for a lot less horsepower than the competition. Who cares how it competes against a 1998 car? Hell, a modern Camry can compete against that. Figure that the real price difference should have been about equivalent to getting a V8 trim model in a lot of other cars - ~7k?

M5 will dust it. Not to mention the CTS-V. RS5 as well.

For some reason Toyota is living in a dream world where people don't buy based on specs and hp (e.g., the FR-S). But the reality is that nobody needs near that much hp, this is all about bragging rights and the GSF will end up being a sales disaster because it is playing in the minor leagues.

Maybe the FS will fix it - but it will be even more expensive, and therefore more ridiculous. I am getting really worried about the Toyota FT-1 and Lexus LC500 models now. I want to see Toyota have sports cars, but if they keep missing the mark like this, they will throw up their hands and give up.
