I've used this one for years on a show car '69 Corvette before I sold it and many times on the GS.
I have this one which looks like the same unit.
Great item.

Amazon Amazon

I have this one and it works great. I bought it so I could charge other batteries too, but you can find one that does 12v only. NOCO makes a bunch of different chargers. My car gets parked outside so I don't have the luxury of keeping the charger plugged in so when I do need it, the faster 3.5A rate comes in handy.

That brand reminded me of one of the Xmas gifts my wife gave me.
Nice item so the charger should be good too.

That looks like a rebranded Deltran Battery tender. At one point I had three of those, two for my motorcycles and one for my car. They work great.

I would just get the non-rebranded ones for $50 shipped

They will fit all vehicles with 12v batteries. You can wire it with the quick connects so you don't have to deal with the battery clamps.

Any good place under the hood for the subject unit to be neatly placed under the hood? Can't really tell the dimensions from the photo of the unit.

I use a different brand that is very slim and it just nicely slides in beside the battery in my Acura TL. Stays under the hood year round. In the winter she's plugged in together with the block heater! That way even when it's 40 below the battery is fully charged and cranks the engine over easily!

I use a battery minder 12117 on an avalon that doesn't get driven much. I've also used it on my lexuses when i've run the battery down accidentally.

I wanted a battery tender that also desulfates so I went with BatteryMinder.

The 12117 was one of their bestsellers for a long time It works fine, but there is a newer improved model 1500/1510.

The biggest practical difference for the newer models is that it will also charge batteries that are in worse shape. One thing they don't tell you is that these devices often need a minimum voltage before they will charge. If your battery was completely flatlined, then you'd need to jump it or charge it on a dumb charger first.

The 1510 helps solve that problem by accepting a lower starting voltage.

It also begins desulfation immediately.

From what I can tell, the 1510 is different over the 1500, because it includes accessories of a different clip cord set and ring assembly.

I would go for the batteryminder, noco, or ctek charger over the lexus branded one in the original post or a battery tender

I use a battery tender on my Zx10R because obviously I cant ride it on the winter plus my bike has an alarm system which drains the battery evenn faster. What I like about battery tender is that they include a quick disconnect accessory that allows a wire pre connected to battery and have that wire hiding somewhere on the car or bike and make connecting and disconecting easy.

There are a lot cheaper options. You just won't get the Lexus name on it, but not many people look at your battery tender. Look at Walmart or that KMart close out. They definitely are NOT model specific. 12 volt is the only spec you need to worry about.

They do work well, though.

I have used one of these for years on my GS350 and BMW's because cars sit for long periods without driving. They work great. I've never had a battery problem and they are always at full charge. You can find them from several vendors on Ebay for about half what Sewell and BMW charges for them. Different color and logo but same identical charger made by Deltran.
