2014 GS 350 RWD (Changed Factory to Different Wheels)
Hey guys , Happy New Year to all.
Ive had my GS for about 5 months now, at first I went down to get the F Sport but the deal I got on this vehicle was amazing so I took it. The deal was $0 down, $0 taxes , basically a sign and drive, $459 / mo with taxes incuded. And Im very happy that I did with a beautiful flaxen interior. In my opinion, the car rides much smoother on the 18s. The only aspect that kept bugging me were the factory 18" wheels that came with the vehicle. It looked more like an Infiniti type wheel than a Lexus to me, so I decided to swap them for a different set of 18s and I couldn't have been happier. They are quality wheels, pretty inexpensive and in my opinion I think they look much better than the factory wheels. And at the same time maintaining a factory look. I also put Pirelli P7 All Season tires instead of the Dunlops. Now i know the Dunlops are way more expensive, but ive always loved the comfort and stability with the Pirellis.

I agree the F Sport 19s are the best looking for the GS, but I always try and keep it stock because the ride quality is so good I dont want to mess with it. With that in mind I am satisfied even though the F Sport looks awesome.

Looks great! I like the wheels.
I assume these are the Pirelli P7 Plus? What do you think of the tires? Good smooth and quiet?

maybe the F sport will not be too bumpy with the 20s since it has a different suspension. Its just happened to me so often in the past that I put 20s on a luxury sedan, like my previous 5 series and the ride quality was never the same. But hey give it a shot , Vossen wheels has some sweet wheels for the GS. The Ace Convex look good too.
Yes they are the P7 Plus tires , the latest version of the Pirellis. These tires are uber soft, smooth and ultra quiet. The GS was always really smooth, but with the Pirellis i get that gliding feeling over all surfaces, if you can imagine what i mean. And on a side note im getting 1.5 mpg more now. Im sure it can just be the way im driving but the tires are advertised as being fuel efficient by Pirelli. Before I was averaging about 19.3 a gal , now doing 20.8 which in L.A. im thrilled.

Thanks for the input. I'm planning on putting these tires on my GS as early as next week. I've been struggling with replacing the Michelins that are on it with new Michelins or these. These are cheaper and the reviews would suggest they are better.

well it was a no brainer for me, I sold the originals for a good price and used those funds to purchase these and also put a few hundred bucks in my pocket. The finance company said it was fine , so was there was no reason not to do it. Its a lease vehicle.
