Default The last 2 payments

Were mailed today. So, the car is paid off.

I feel like an obese kid who just lost 150lbs (no offense to anyone)

And you will still have the car for many long, happy years! Congratulations!

Now that you are going to have some extra cash in your pockets, time to go to VEGAS, oh yeah.

True, but the refresh is around the corner and I hope that I won't like it

People do that?

No wonder the finance guy looked at me funny when I handed them a cashiers check.

Same is true. In order to get the $1000 financing promotion I had to finance a minimum of $10K. In two weeks when I received the financing invoice, I paid the balance. I hate writing checks.

I do know I am fortunate and I make the post in jest, as we all are being able to buy a $60K care. In my younger years, I've spent numerous times scrambling in order to make a car payment. If you are 30 and owning a car like this, you've either done something right or been lucky or you have parents who have helped you. I wish no one had to worry about where there next payment is coming from.

I know a lot of 30 year olds who are VERY successful...30 isn't that young to be successful enough to drive a $60k car. Doctors are out of residency in practice, Lawyers are employed and perhaps junior partners, plenty of time to get established and achieve success in business, sales, etc.

It was actually the first cashiers check I've ever made. I'm kind of young, got lucky with some pure speculation I did on a market and decided to buy a toy with a small %, and my rule about toys: don't increase monthly expenses with toys.

Don't want to get caught with my pants down when speculating and something goes against me and have to backtrack. I also did not buy brand new, but one year used with ultra-low mileage. From now on that's probably how I will buy 'new' cars.

I had a Toyota Camry before, which I still own and is paid off. Funny thing happened, my insurance cost for the two cars combined is less than what I was paying on the Camry prior.

In my whole life, I think I written maybe one personal check.
