I think you got your math wrong. Or maby I learned it wrong when i was in school but....

4GS < 3GS = 4GS Less Than 3GS

I think you meant......

4GS > 3GS = 4GS Greater Than 3GS

If you're looking for more power and low end torque, you might want to consider a 3rd generation GS450h. Those 3rd generation hybrids are the fastest stock GS now on the planet I'm not even kidding, they'll smoke the GS460 off the line, in overtaking and even at the top end.

Sadly, Lexus detuned the hybrid powerplant in the 4th generation GS such that the 4GS450h is slower than the 3GS450h but with a plus point of much better mileage.

Ask me how I know? I recently replaced my beloved 2nd Gen GS300 with a 3GS450h. The car is a sleeper beast.

Does the 3GS 450h use CVT too? I hate CVT and they use that on the 4GS. Yes they give u paddle shifters but ur shifting fake gears with that like in my Accord, I don't like the feeling of that that u know.

All hybrids pretty much use a CVT

I can't remember where I read it, but the GS450h does not use a real CVT; it is only CVT-like.

Thanks to bigger batteries & bigger electric motors, the 3GS450h does 0-60 in something like 5.2 seconds, if i remember correctly.

Toyota doesn't use a traditional CVT on their hybrids, but it is essentially still a CVT, they just go about it a different way than say Nissan or Subaru.

Speaking from first hand experience as an owner, the 3GS450h doesn't shift like a traditional CVT at all. It feels more immediate than even my traditional 5 speed autobox in my previous 2nd Gen GS300. Same too for the 4GS450h that I test drove.

It still drones on acceleration, which is primarily what I don't like about a CVT.

Quite true, but I'm not a fan of CVT transmissions, conventional or non-conventional. That's even before I mention those hybrid batteries.

I hate CVT. I like to hear my engine goes BWAAHHH... BWAAAHHHH... AND BWAAAHHHH as the gear changes, not just HUMMMMMMMM droning all the way.

Then I guess you probably wouldn't like the 691 Horsepower - 687 lb-ft of torque Telsa P85D that goes 0-60 MPH in 3.1 seconds & 1/4 mile - 11.6 sec @ 115.2 mph

From zeroto60times.com

Lexus GS 0 to 60 mph Times & Quarter Mile Times :

2008 Lexus GS 450h 0-60 mph 5.4 Quarter mile 13.9

2008 Lexus GS 460 0-60 mph 5.5 Quarter Mile 13.8

2011 Lexus GS 460 0-60 mph 5.3

2012 Lexus GS 450h F-Sport 0-60 mph 5.8

2013 Lexus GS 450h 0-60 mph 5.4

2013 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport Package 0-60 mph 5.4 Quarter Mile 13.8

Of course there's much more to the overall driving experience than some previously recorded speeds, only your own senses after driving both cars can tell you which way to go! Oh yeah, and your budget..

I have a 2015 GS F Sport (which is probably slightly quicker than the 2013 thanks to the 8 speed auto), and definitely admire all the older GS's I still see on the road and on these pages.

Nope. But I'm sure I will like the fast acceleration but I'll get tired of it fast cause I like to hear my car gets to 60.

I'd take this over a Tesla any day.
