Default Headlight Upgrade

I am looking for suggestions on what I can do to increase the headlight output on a 14 F-Sport with the bi-xenon. I am coming over from an Acura that had HID's for the low beam with halogen for the high beam. I felt the Acura's light output was quite a bit brighter than the Lexus. However I also have a headlight leveling warning light on and I feel the lights may be pointed down too far which is decreasing visibility.

Thanks for your help!

(1) Obviously have your dealer check your headlights first

(2) Acura's have the best HIDs - partially because they use clear projector lenses and they also use better stock bulbs.

So you could first try Osram CBI D4S bulbs or the equivalent Philips. If you are still unhappy, you can modify the headlights with clear lenses. This is generally a pain in the ***. You take your headlight assembly out, bake it in the oven to soften the glue, open them up and then replace the lenses.

I changed my OEM Harison bulbs for Osram Xenarc D4S 4300k.
This has resulted in a significant improvement - as good as Porsche Litronics which use D2S bulbs.

I prefer the 4300k colour temperature so didn't go for the CBI 5000k bulbs.

I'm pretty new at this lol What's the difference between bi-xenon and regular xenon? I'm researching bulb upgrades for my 15 F-sport and since it comes with bi-xenon HIDs, I can't tell if the Phillips or Osram bulbs are bi-xenon or not? Or does it not make a difference?

Regular xenon is usually just the low beams, and the high beams are separate units (e.g. halogen projectors). Bi-xenon means it's for both low and high beams. Typically it's not the bulb that's different, but the housing, e.g. in the 4GS there is a kind of 'lampshade' that cuts off the top part of the beam when in low beam, which moves out of the way when you want high beams.

I didn't know that TRSMatt was a GS owner....

Anyway, I would definitely go bulbs first before dismantling the headlights. Every time I've tried to do this sort of project it ends up being a bigger pain than you expect. The videos showing prying apart headlights always make it look easy but I have yet to try one that isn't a total pain in the ***.

I would love to do the clear lens mod though. Honestly I might just pay someone to do it.

Do the headlights only have 1 bulb each and what kind of bulb should I get if I want to upgrade, the bi-zeon Osram Xenarc D4S 4300k?

i upgraded my bulbs to phillips D4S bulbs and they are great lights up the whole road much better, but is it possible that the GS like the LS has the auto brightness feature for the headlights? Where the car configures the brightness of the headlamps itself depending on the environment.

I have a stock 2014 Lexus GS350 f-sport can someone point me to the right type of Osram Xenarc D4S 4300k, maybe an ebay or Amazon link? Is it easy to change the bulb?
