Anyone feel the headlights are factory adjusted too low?

Premium and FSport have auto leveling only, not adaptive.

I think all GS 350's have self-leveling headlights. When you first crank-up the car the headlight beams have an up/down motion rising up and then lower before settling in position. You'll notice this up/down motion at crank-up especially if you park in a garage or are facing a wall directly in front of you. I think the car has sensors (somewhere near the front and the rear of the vehicle) that determine whether the car is traveling level or is inclined upward or downward.

I've got the auto levelling adaptive headlights on my 2014 GS AWD tech.
This morning I had a look into the adjust screw holes in the shrouding. On each side there are thre sets of holes.
The two that lay on the horizontal plain have nothing below the shroud. No adjustment screws, just empty space.
There is one hole close to the fender thats on an angle. It's the only one that has an adjustment screw.

Like NXXT said ... this makes a HUGE difference on lowered cars. The leveling headlights (on ALL models) lower the headlights when the trunk is lowered by weight to reduce glare onto oncoming traffic. That said ... lowering a car up to 2 inches will make a huge difference on aimpoint because the height sensor is on the rear suspension at drivers side.
I had a GS loaner at stock height and marked my wall with it. When I get my lowered car back, it took over 30 full turns to get them to the right level.

Newb question:
When you guys say "turns" is that measured as a turn of the screwdriver of the turn of the actual adjustment wheel? I'm trying to figure out if a full turn is a 360 rotation of the adjustment wheel or of the screw driver. Car was lowered and just got new 6000k bulbs today so I want to make sure I'm getting the maximum light output with the decrease in lumens that I have now.

I based mine on a full 360 turn on my screwdriver. I just look at the marking on my screwdriver and when I see it again that means 1 full 360 turn.
If u base it on the actual wheel I think ur headlight would be pointing to the sky by 5 turns.

Lol ok I figured so. I ended up doing about 20 full screwdriver turns since I was lowered and also since I felt the factory adjustment was too low from the get go. Brought up the cutoff about 3 inches. Gonna take it out for a night drive in a bit to make sure the adjustment looks ok while driving.
Thanks!
Thanks!
