There is an old thread from 2012 about this but I wasn't sure whether I should add to that or post a new thread. When streaming Bluetooth audio in a 2015 GS 350 from an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), will you see any of the artist/album information on the display? Will any forward/reverse track buttons work? The other thread mentioned that someone with an iPhone could see it. Maybe this is a limitation specific to Android? On a Mercedes Benz E class I can/do see this information when doing Bluetooth streaming. I have an S class and I recently bought a Bluetooth cassette adapter to stream audio to my stereo. It's not perfect but better than nothing!

You will see all the metadata except for the album art. So the song name, album, and artist will show up.

Seconded. I don't get art but I can flip through songs via Bluetooth on my HTC One M8. Can't access playlists or other goodies though. Don't know if iPhone is any different over Bluetooth but I have an iPod plugged in via USB with a more rich feature set including album art.

Iphone connected over Bluetooth will only show metadata as well. That is connected to Spotify, Pandora, or downloaded albums.

Makes me wonder what my phone would do if I hooked it up via USB. I imagine USB has alot more bandwidth than Bluetooth so the feature set is expanded.

It will operate just like an iPod. Playlists, album art.....
