I have all of the data, none of the music. Sirius sounds horrible, like RealAudio on dialup internet from 1998. I'd rather plug in my iPod or stream from my phone.

I was offered the XM Select for $28 for 5 months so I took it. Yes XM sounds horrible but I like the no commercial non stop music but I might cancel if the price rockets after 5 months, or I'll switch to music only for $10 a month.

Several years ago I had it in three vehicles. But I have several horror stories with there billing and the incredibly bad customer service. Some of the problems go beyond belief. I'd never do business with them. It goes behind bad service and mistakes, they are crooks.

I agree with JJSCSIX.....I tried them out for a couple years, music only, but it was always a PIA to get them to honor the rate I first got ($77/yr). I would get bills at the end of the yr for $185 and you will spend an hour on the phone trying to settle on a price.....what is music worth? This last yr I had 3 months on the new GS and I noticed the reception had degraded, and lost signals all the time. I miss listening to my classical and non-commercial music, but dealing with these knuckleheads is ridiculous.

No, I am not in a 350, but thought I'd chime in. I have it on both cars. The IS is still in the complimentary year. GS has the full package (music, traffic, weather, fuel/stock/sports add-on). Pricing is a pain in the rear. Almost like airfare, it can be one thing on this day, and something totally different the next. And as others have mentioned, don't even call them for anything. I wouldn't even call what they have customer service. More like customer disservice. I do like that it is commercial free.

So, now I have a 64 GB flash drive in the center console that I'm slowly adding music onto.

I am choosing not to renew after my 1 year trial period.
I am a radio scanner. Drives my girlfriend nuts. Too often the satellite signal drops just because of trees or embankments.

I do it - I like having BBC World News, Bloomberg and a nice national NPR feed. Music stations are so-so and sound quality is awful. Plus tons and tons of right wing bat**** crazy politics.

You can easily get the SiriusXM Select (140+ Channels) package for $24.99 for 6 months. The SiriusXM sales reps will first offer you 5 months at $24.99, but when they're told that you are aware of the same price for 6 months they'll agree to that deal right away. After the small music royalty fee and sales taxes it comes to about $30, which is only $5 per month, which is not bad at all in my opinion...
The SiriusXM business model is different - it's much like a game of sorts. They treat their subscriptions like the service is a utility (electric, natural gas, etc.) with their auto-renewal requirement. The key is just before the subscription expires you MUST call and tell them you want to cancel, otherwise they will auto-renew at a much higher price. When you call to cancel you can easily renegotiate a new deal.
The key to always getting a good deal is to be absolutely sure to call and cancel your service a week or so before it is schedule to expire. When you call to cancel, just renegotiate a new low price deal - otherwise the agreement (* shown below) states that your service will automatically renew at the rates in effect at the time of renewal (which are much higher).

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Your subscription service(s) will automatically renew on the date(s) above for additional periods of the same length as the Plan(s) shown above at the rates in effect at the time of renewal until you call us at 1-866-687-4213 to cancel.
