Just got my new f sport. I am having some trouble with the infotainment system freezing up randomly. At first it was freezing when I was adjusting the audio settings for each source. It would lock up and I couldn't use the joystick or change station/mode. I restarted the car each time and didn't have the problem again in that screen. Today as I was going down the highway listening to my ipod and the system froze again along with the navigation screen, this time I couldn't even adjust the radio volume or turn it off. Again, I restarted the car and everything is working again. Anyone else have this problem?

Is this the same problem that the 3IS people are having? Same gen nav system right? My 2014 system never froze, not even once. But I have the older gen nav.

ive never had a prob with mine and im a 2014. sounds like it might need a software update. id take it to lexus and have them sort it out for you.

Sounds different than the 3IS nav issues. Best to have the dealer take a look.

Between now and then, if it does freeze, you can hold down the power **** for a few seconds to force a restart of the system. At least that way you can restart the nav without shutting down and restarting your car.

This sounds like the same issue I had when I got the 13 GS. I thought it was fixed for 14 and 15.

I had a 2013 GS350 went to a 2015 ES 350 and gen 8 is freezing on me also. It is so slow compared to older version I had on GS. It really is annoying as every time I am scrolling through map to look ahead of the route it either freezes or is slow. I would have thought gen 8 would have been so much better then the older version. Hopefully there will be an update and they also got rid of the map button on ES.

I don't have a freezing problem, but once in a while the SAT radio has brief dropouts, even though the car has a clear view of the sky. Having XM resend the activation signal, doesn't seem to make any difference. I thought this trick might help me, if it does a "reboot"...do you just hold it down until it restarts, or do you just turn it off and press again to turn on??

I am having the same issue, whether on FM radio, bluetooth phone connection, SAT radio, the infotainment system will just freeze and it will display AUDIO OFF. Nothing I do restarts it accept to restart the car. One time while driving the entire system (navigation included) rebooted. I am taking mine in for 5000 mile service but they've told me they don't know what's wrong....letting them work with it for awhile may allow them to find it out but if anyone knows what's going on let me know.

in short, system bugs. dealerships are seeing issues, i have talked to people and they see problems here and there. lexus has no fix and no idea what's going on that's what i last heard.

the new system is just slow and buggy.

Mine has frozen twice and I have 1,000 miles. Guess I should take it in?

my '13 never froze but my '15 has frozen a few times, no biggy though.
