Drop a turbo in the GS. Or drop the GS and get a 435i GC :d Less luxury but blistering fast and super fun.

One of my cars is a 328i (2 liter turbo) with only 240 hp and 255 lb-ft but it will eat the GS, esp in 0 to 60.

Car and Driver list 0-60 in the 328 at 5.6 seconds and the GS at 5.5.

I tried it 3 times (2 times rolling) and I pulled on the GS. Regardless, it might have been driver error, better tires, etc. Not trying to bash the GS, it's an amazing car.

Also you could have been at a different elevation vs car and drive. Or the bimmer could have been almost out of gas when the GS was full. Who knows, both good cars. I like the GS cause it's bigger and I have too many kids

The BMW 328i 2-Liter Twin Turbo ramps up at a very low RPM, producing a ton of HP and torque from just above 1,000 RPM. If you could compare the HP/Torque curve of the 328i Twin Turbo vs. the Lexus GS 3.5-Liter (normally aspirated) you would see why the little 4-cylinder BMW has such great performance. It pulls hard - very hard! Throw in a 8-speed automatic transmission, which shifts at opportune times for maximum performance, and the car is an exciting little package.

Maby the GS driver did not hit the detend when stepping on the gas pedal and only activated 90% of the cars power. Many people on this forum does not even realize there car can go faster. I just found out mine goes faster 4 months ago and ive bought my car 10 months ago.

It's not complicated. Just press the pedal harder to the floor and you'll feel a click.

The GS, F-Sport or otherwise, was not built for speed but, rather, looks and comfort. It has adequate power for most situations an average driver would encounter on the highway.
