Used to own. Wanted all my equity, so I traded for cash and am leasing my GX460. Will never own again.

^^You can say that again!
I lease because I can't keep a car long enough to pay it off and generally don't mod them so why not lease. My wife's car is owned (or financed) because of the mileage we put on her vehicle and she has no issue hanging on to them longer.

I was surprised to see the Own bar went up faster than the Lease bar where the majority of people here are just leasing their GS. But now I'm seeing the Lease bar catching up.

Lease,
Purchasing for me just doesnt make sense once I factor in increasing maintnace cost as the vehicle ages.
Due to my job, I write off just about 100% of the lease payment, gas, and insurance and up getting about 30% percent of all of that back, come tax return time. This is also possible because I have another vehicle and assign all of my "personal" miles to it.

First lease, got a good deal and all the options. I'm all about the monthly payment really, and tech is moving so fast these days I didn't want to get stuck in a 5-6 year loan with high payments just to have the car become ancient while I was paying it off. Feeling kinda burned on the tech in the 2013 but in 2 years I'll have another one.

Own
We always buy at least a year old, and we would rather own. We bought our 2013 with 15k miles for only 44k, which payments ended up being about same as leasing. And once I saw how well these F sports are holding their value and Lexus in general I feel like I could sell it for about what we paid if we keep it in great condition.
I think both are good options depending on each individuals needs, but I really like to purchase a car so I can do whatever I please with it.

Own and paid cash so I could sleep very well and not worry hurting my back to make the payment for it.
Done a few lease before but not really into it. If you swap cars every few years then lease will be a better choice, otherwise own will save you more money.
