Default Putting tint on

I just got my brand new 4GSF and it doesn't have tint on it. Its white with the Flaxen Leather with Striated Aluminum Trim interior I was wondering if anybody has gotten aftermarket tint put on. If so where did you guys do it, how much did it cost and how dark did you go. If you could post some pictures of how it turned out so i can get a sense of how dark i should go!

Thanks! I see that your in CA do you notice that car is cooler if you leave it out in the sun? I live in southern FL so leaving my car anywhere for more then about 30 min makes it very hot inside so im hoping the tint helps with that.

Congrats on the new car! I'm in south florida and I have aftermarket tints installed. I paid $200 from a shop in Pembroke Pines. I went with the legal limit and got 33% and love them. I can tell the difference in heat from when I had the car tintless for the firts two weeks. They are not as dark as they seem in pictures thoughbut I was not looking for limo dark so it is perfect. Here are some pics:

GREAT before and after! You've got the location (including background car) nailed, and the time of day and light conditions are almost exactly the same. Nice trick to pull off.

It was a hole in the wall shop named Accu-Tint. It was actually suggested to me by another GS owner. I suggest calling first to set up an appointment as they can get a bit busy. I'm a happy customer with no complaints.

If you guys really want to keep it cooler, put light ceramic tint on the windshield too.

do 20% all around or 20 % front, 15% back.

anything lighter and you'd regret it and wanna go darker

There are basically three types of tint film available. In terms of price from lowest to highest are dye based tint, metalic tint and ceramic tint. Each type of tint has different levels of transparency available. Even the lightest shade of ceramic does the best job of providing UV protection.

Try getting samples of each and putting them between your hand and an infrared heat lamp and you will feel the difference.
