Looking to do ceramic tint to the new GS this weekend. What % did you go with and are you happy with it?

i did mine 30% all around and 55% on the front windshield. You can see inside but not much. Looks elegant.

I think I have 35% all the way around except the windshield. I don't think they're ceramic either. I'm planning on having them redone in the spring with 20-25% all the way around with 70% on the windshield

Ceramic tint in SoCal is a must. Dyed tint will fade in a couple years.

Madico Charcool 20% all around. Windshield Stock. Cabernet interior. *Back shot is with the shade up*

I did 70% windshield and 35% all around and a 5% strip on top part of windshield.

Wow how do you get away, you are already a target man better get the RMV to give you a pass so you don't get a fix it ticket. I've got 30% and that's already dark with these white cars. Will say it looks good though.

So how many people are having scratching at the top of their windows?

Me. No cold weather package. It's happened with any car I've had that's had tinted windows.

All of my cars have scratches on top of the tinted windows. If u look at it, it is rubbing against the rubber stripping and any friction will cause a scratch, especially if u add dirt to it. Unless u clean ur car every second and shrink wrap and don't drive ur car then it won't scratch.

Thought it was just me. This is the first car I have had that the top of the windows on the tint are so scratched up. When the windows are cracked and the sun hits it just right, drives me nuts as I'm OCD as F%$#.

I had local Lexus dealer do mine and while the workmanship is excellent the 50% tint looks terrible. I had same 50% by same installation company four years ago on my BMW and it looked awesome. I had a white car both times. The BMW had an oyster interior and the Lexus has black so I expected the tint to appear darker but it actually appears lighter than I recall my BMW ever appearing. Bugs me every time I go to my car. This tint has a slight bronzing to it that really bothers me when I look at side mirrors. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening and what tint I need ask for when being redone? Will 40-45% make the difference?

Has anyone had any luck with the moleskin? If this works I am going to have my fronts redone..
