Default Was washing my car and found this :(

My second time washing the car, the first time it wasnt there. This is my driver side side skirt and QP I think it can probably be wetsanded and buffed out. I have no idea how it got there or when it did. You guys think its worth it to take it to the dealer or go to a indy shop.

is that a scratch? looks like gum or tar attached itself to your skirt. hit it with a degreaser... i use Tarminator for those jobs, works great. if it's a scratch, looks like a deep one and can not be buffed out.

What he said, doesn't look like a scratch from the photo...take your nail and lightly pick at it...see if it comes up. All cars get it, but white shows those gum/tar marks a lot more.

That's not a scratch. Too squiggly and broken up. Get some tar removal or more abrasive sponge.

U can also use Goo Gone or WD-40 to remove sticky tar and gum or other road stains.

I just use Varsol, (paint thinner). Its cheap and won't harm the paint. Petroleum based so will remove tar etc. Just wash it off with car soap after.

Makes perfect sense. Try some cleaner-wax as it is very lightly abrasive.

I've gotten that too on the lower panels when they're paving roads. I just use Goo Gone to remove it.
