Not sure where you heard that, but that's incorrect. The 2015 GS does indeed have version 8, which includes the 3D view.

My $149 Garmin got the 3D bird eye view and speed limit alert, also included lifetime map and traffic update. Problem solved!!! Way to screw your early adopters Lexus!!!

Here is what my navigation options are in the 2015 GX...




While driving. I do not see 3D buildings.




You can adjust the angle of the bird's eye view.




The options screen says it is "On"...

^^That looks right to me. Not all cities have the buildings loaded. In my neighborhood I have none, but drive into downtown Seattle and the screen is packed with buildings, in great detail. I'll take a pic next time I go downtown.

That's right. Just some areas are covered by 3D buildings. Some just silhouettes and some with textures like seen on my pic.

Has anyone figured out how to get this on the 4GS yet? I have the 3D City Model Map option turned on, but I can never get the 3D maps to come out..

When displaying the map, did you click on the compass in the top left corner?

It only happens in certain cities. In my previous G37, the 3D buildings would only show up when I was in downtown LA with the Staples Center and surrounding buildings in 3D. However, in other areas, there were no 3D buildings. Disappointed the 2014 GS doesn't have 3D map

Ok thanks. I'll drive through LA sometime this week and see what happens. I'm in Diamond Bar and there's absolutely no buildings in this boring town.

I have a 2015 but don't see this option. The Nav software says 6/10/14. Did I get the only 2015 without this option? figures...

There are directions in the owner's manual for pulling it up. If you follow those directions and it still doesn't work, refer to your dealer for assistance.
