Funny, they add "inspect" to the list of repairs, it doesn't mean anything was fixed or changed.

But you still pay for it.

The package services are all padded with profit...all the "inspections" and such, they visually do an inspection whenever they are underneath the car anyways...they do it because they want to sell service...

Its all really a BS. They told me my 15k and 20k wont be free, exept for oil and filter chnage which will be complimentary.

That all I really need. If I can make them replace cabin filter at 10k . There us nothing else that I need from them.

So they are doing oil and filter changes for you for free beyond 10k? Was that some package that you bought?

Lexus as a manufacturer offers the 5k and 10k free, but nothing is free after that.

For me, only the coffee and donuts in the lobby were free.

What does the 15k service entail and how much were you guys paying for it out of curiosity? I was debating whether to have my independent mechanic do the work for less $$ but want the dealer do something about the annoying rattling sounds in my car so I may just take it to the dealer to save a trip

I believe its the Local dealer thing, I went to another dealer for 5k service and they said they will not do a free 20k service, since I bought the car from Sterling they will do an oil change free, but no the rest of the 20k service. I asked if its ok if I just got the free oil change at 20k, they said sure, you dont have to do anything you dont want to.

That would be an enormous pain in the *** using the tool I have, which is the jack that comes with the car. Plus, I live in a townhouse, and we have a short driveway behind our garage that has a fairly steep incline. Its not convenient, or safe.

$100 is WELL worth it to me to not have to deal with rotating the tires in my own driveway...if I had a lift, maybe. If I had a good floor jack, a much smaller maybe. I could do a lot of things I pay people to do and save some money...but then I'd have to spend my leisure time doing a bunch of physical stuff I don't want to do.
