Lexus Enform Remote on Lexus 2014.
Hey guy so I was wondering If my GS ever going to get the Enform remote compatible? I live in the state where it mostly winter all year round, and It would be nice to have the Enform remote work. any ideal weather Lexus going to release it for 2014 GS?

Remote start is available if that helps with your winter starts.

But it won't work with the Enform Remote app.

Correct, what you want is RES+, and that's available starting in the 2015 model for the GS. Lexus really screwed up the tech package on this car for some reason. If you look at the RES+ model chart on their website, I think the GS is the only model that it isn't available for (maybe the CT also, don't have it memorized).

My dealer told he they could have installed the components to make my '13 compatible with the Lexus RES+ package but I denied the offer and just had the remote start installed using the FOB. Maybe they really did not know what they were talking about though.

How much would they charge for the RES+? My left arm or my legs? lol

This was the dealer where I purchased the car and not where it is now serviced. Also the same dealer who pulled CPO from the deal without my knowledge after which I had to to Lexus Customer Service for a resolution. So not sure they knew what they were talking about but I think they quoted somewhere around $1K.

I seriously doubt this is possible. There's alot going on behind the dash to make this possible. It requires a cellular connection and low voltage battery power AND a subscription model from Lexus to tie it all together.
Is it technically possible to cobble together the parts from the 2015 catalog and duct tape it into our 2013's and 2014's? Maybe. But it's prohibitively expensive for such a small thing and we need to be wagging our fingers at Lexus for leaving our model out in the cold.
