Lexus navigation map updates for only $99
It seems that Lexus is running a special right now, we can update our maps for only $99. Valid until December 31, 2014. I guess it is time to visit Lexus again

the 2013-2014 are NOT SD based. They are HDD based and the $99 discount applied. If someone install is, please check the FIRMWARE version of the NAV and if GraceNotes gets updated as well.

The killer will still be the 2 hours labor to install...

Right, bottom line is its still going to cost $240 to install, and $340 is still too much for that update IMHO...

looks like gen 5-7 needs dealership help but gen 8 can be done by owner. 2015 use micro usb (gen 8).

I'll just pull out my phone if my nav can't find an address, it's cheaper than paying $300+ and and quicker and always up to date. The nav is kinda slow anyway.

Disappointing - for that price you can get a 7" Garmin GPS with Lifetime map updates, Lifetime HD Traffic and Voice recognition.
Good to know that Gen 8 can be installed without the dealer. Like the good old days of DVD, hopefully that means you can sell your old version to recoup some of the cost of the new version -- or buy an old version and save some money over buying the latest one.
