Lexus navigation map updates for only $99
#16
called my local dealer about the advertised special & was told $99=$120 @ their shop. $21 diff is petty but it pisses me off enough that lexus is using bait-&-switch tactics that i won't have it done. google maps does an excellent job of getting me where i need to go.
is anyone actually paying $99 for an update ?

Does the $120 include the install?

I think it's $120 plus additional labor charge.

yes, dealer reply was:
The navigation update including labor is $120 however the parts are on backorder but should be available in approximately two weeks if you would like to enquire then and we can schedule an appointment for you then.

I'd take the bait if it truly $120 installed. Your signature says you are in NC. Which dealer did you call?

That's a screaming deal. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I know this is a GS thread but hopefully you guys can help me out. In the Gen5 nav systems they take dvd's. Is their a difference between a Lexus Disk and a Toyota one? I've looked everywhere and they all look the same. Buying a gen5 disk from Lexus instead of Toyota would save me $70.

Totally different systems, I would post on the appropriate forum and ask them,

Anyone get the update yet? I'm curious what the firmware shows now.
Oh a side note, does anyone know if all 2013 and 2014s use the same bluetooth hardware? I asked the dealership to update my firmware and was told it's the latest version... which is from June 2012 when my car left the factory. I find it hard to believe that's the case, and I've been having issues with bluetooth connectivity. Does the map update include any updates to bluetooth?
