Default Lexus Subscription Services

Just wondering, has anyone ever negotiated any services into a new car sale like Enform beyond the initial period or possibly XM.

So Enform has to be bought from Lexus direct after initial sale. So you can try and negotiate it in.

XM, I have heard is easier to call them direct and negotiate with them. $77/year is apparently possible + $2/month for traffic.

I just got the Sirius XM renewal at $89/yr by calling 1-888-601-6302 and just saying I was not going to renew at the $185 rate but that I'd still like to keep the service so "what can you do for me?" She offered the $89 rate immediately.

I tried hard when I bought my IS last December to work a deal for some of the add-ons like Enform. The stealership wouldn't budge. All of the add-ons are huge profit makers for the auto industry. You figure, most of that stuff you pay for, you hardly use. Just what they want. You pay top dollar for limited use.

Sirius/XM on the other hand, as others have posted, you can haggle with. Generally only when it is time for renewal. The threat of not renewing tends to loosen up the pricing quite a bit. I have successfully negotiated lower than advertised rates.

And NEVER give them a credit card! Instead, tell them to invoice you and you'll write a check. Once they have a credit card, they'll "auto-renew" you at the top retail (i.e. ridiculous) rate.

I was able to negotiate an extra year when I bought mine.
