Lightbulb Another wheel/tire question...

I have a 2014 GS350 F Sport and I am going to lower with Tanabe NF210 springs which is only an inch, give or take. I don;t want to lower anymore as it is a daily driver and I like the current ride comfort. I am going to install f 9x20 et35 / r 10.5x20 et45 wheels. The gap still appears to big with the 245/35 and 275/30 combo.

My question is - can I install 245/40 and 275/35 tires (roughly another inch) without rubbing? It seems to me that would eliminate some of the gap. Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

It's usually recommended to stay within a certain percentage of the factory tire diameter to limit the speedometer / odometer calibration. I don't think anyone has actually tried those tire aspect ratios here either.

On the Tanabe's go with a 245-35-and 285-30 You will be golden. 245-40 is way to tall for the front and its possible to run 275-35-20 rear.

Thanks for the reply - they are going on Velgen VMB8's. Maybe I just have to buy coilovers to get rid of the gap and keep a decent ride. Thanks again.
