Well I spent much of my day rooting my phone and loading a ROM running 4.4.4 only to find out the Bluetooth issue hasn't really been fixed. This really sucks. I've had my car three days now and the Bluetooth is unusable. Constant disconnects.

I got so annoyed of this issue of disconnecting and connecting as I talk on the phone frequently while driving so I would keep getting disconnected while I was on calls with people. I repaired my phone and I always choose to not allow messages to connect with the car and it's a bit of a hassle always having to select NO each time I start up the car on the phone but it beats having constant bluetooth connection issues. For those of you having issues, just select no to text message feature and you shouldn't have connection issues.

I am on Verizon.

My S3, S4 and S5 all worked both on STOCK and with custom ROMs.

right now my S5 on verizon is working without an issue 4.4.2, About to update to 4.4.4 once some ROMs are made.

I only had issues when I restored my messaging app / bluetooth connections via Titanium Backup. Firmware NCG, NE9 on verizon were both working fine for me... NHA is the newest and I'm sure that one also works.

I guess I have the ONLY working Vzw S5 that works since everyone has issues.

I just did the same on my S4, and text messages are now popping up again as expected. I didn't need to keep any messages, so I just deleted them.

Yep, this seems to make sense... with all the text messages trying to sync, I think the Message access protocol times out in the middle of transfer.

Do not restore messages from Titanium Backup, and do not have a million messages when you connect your phone. Text messages should work fine.

Ingenious! I never thought of it. I even had Verizon and Samsung trying to fix it for me. Deleted all my texts and all is well again. Thanks!

I think the car has a hard time pulling long threaded text messages like jucytec said. one of my threads was over 1,000 messages long, on top of that I had over 200 different text conversations on my phone (I never really delete messages.) I am not sure what the limitation is before it starts acting up, but I bet that is part of the problem. Still running smooth now with minimal messages stored on my phone. Love the S5 phone btw.

I too had thousands of texts with multiple very long group texts. Things are still working fine after I cleared out the tests. I have since set the messenger app to delete old texts. I set the limit at 300. It's not like I go back and read old texts anyhow.

Anyone else notice this?
My Note3 hasn't worked since the update 4.4.2. I had AT&T give me 3 new phones in the last 3-4 months & I took my car back to the dealer more than once. Today I'm taking it back to the dealer once again. I spoke with headquarters and they advised me to tell them at Lexus to call Headquarters when I get there so they can help them fix it. I also printed out the information on a post below and bring that information with me. Wish me luck!.

My Bluetooth constantly connects & disconnects ever since the 4.4.2 update. Taking to Lexus this morning to see if they can fix it.

I took this document in this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3P...LWM/edit?pli=1 to Lexus this morning. They deleted my phone from car...they deleted all my text messages, paired my phone back in system, they reset my Nav system to factory, now my Bluetooth and SMS works. I get my text messages through the Nav now and the Bluetooth stays connected. I have the Note 3. I'm so excited!!!

S5 with Verizon and no issues with the 4.4.4 update.
Never had issues with the 4.4.2 on S3 or S5.
