Horrible gas mileage!
So I just traded in my 2013 Fsport for a 2014 Fsport and I obviously didn't buy this car for gas mileage but on my first tank I got like 14 MPG. I don't remember my 2013 getting that bad of gas mileage in the beginning. I have been driving it about the same way as my last one, so its not like I have been flooring it everywhere.
Do you guys have any input on your 2014's? Do you think the gas mileage will improve as it breaks in?
Thanks,

I wouldn't read too much into that one tank, especially if it was the one provided by the dealer, as you don't know how much idling the car did prior to delivery.
FWIW, my IS with the same powertrain really started getting better around 5k miles.

2014 non-F-sport GS here, get around 20 MPG average in a mixture of very short local daily trips and a couple of longer highway trips each week. This is much better than when I took delivery of the car in January. It was also extremely cold in January so I fully expect that to get much worse again in the winter (as has every other car I've owned, so this is quite normal).

My mileage gauge/indicator resets with a fill-up. My driving is half highway, half around town. I'm getting 22mpg give or take, light on the gas peddle, 1900 on the clock. Cheap gas less....Premium grade higher. Lately I've been using COSTCO. I'm happy with the mileage.

I'm flooring all the time, mostly red line (or close to redline) and every stop light is a race light and every highway is a race track for me, and I'm still getting 18 MPG, the worse I got was 17, but mostly 18-20 MPG.
I found the computer MPG and my calculation to be 99% accurate.
Idling does kill MPG.

19 average here, 24 right now thanks to a 2 hour highway trip that was mostly 80mph. 13k on the dial now. It should improve, make sure you use 91 octane or above.

I have a 2013 FSport and the first few gas tanks were awful. Between 14 and 17MPG. I drive mostly city and at 11+K miles now I get around 19 and 20MPG 70 city and 30% highway. Best I have gotten was about 26MPG all highway for about 200 miles cruising 70 to 80MPH.

Almost 30K on my '13 awd and get same results as praetor.

New cars are always bad at first in my experience, but they quickly improve and then level out between 15k and 20k miles.
My first tank was between 16 and 17 MPG. I just went on a road trip (about 1100 miles on the car when I started the 400 mile trip) and I averaged 26 (at just shy of 80mph).

Ditto on the poor gas mileage on the first few tanks on the F Sport. I now have 3K miles and get about 22 normal and 20 when on Sport +.
This is my third GS and never got better than 23, plus we need to use premium so even more money. But what a car!
