Traded in my 2013 for a 2014

Sup guys! I haven't been on the forums for a while but I did just trade in my white 2013 for a black one. Since I got my white one in April of 2012, I didn't really get that great of a deal because it was so new and I had some negative equity from my last car and since the golden opportunity event was going on I called my guy at lexus and was able to make it happen and have my payment go down significantly so I said what the hell. I drove some Audis (A6, A7) I also drove some BMW's (550i, and 640 gran coupe and 650 gran coupe), just wasn't really into having a $1,200 payment on the gran coupe, but really really liked it.
First impressions of the 2014 Lexus. At first I was not a fan of the 8 speed transmission at all when I test drove it, I was really kind of bummed with it, but I have to say I love it now!!!! I am in the school of thought "break in your car how you want it to perform" so I have been hammering this thing since 10 miles on the clock, and the trans feels smoother then my old 6 speed and it doesn't feel like it is constantly searching for the right gear like it did when I test drove it . I love the power folding mirrors, I love black (I'm scared to touch it but hey it looks fresh) the auto seat cool and heat is nice, and I am also a fan of the cross traffic alert ( or whatever its called), I also loooove my cabernet interior!!!!!f
So I picked it up from the dealership yesterday and then took it straight to my suspension shop to get dropped and aligned then i took it to my tint shop for 15% all around and then finally took it to discount to swap out my censors in my wheels, and here it is.
Anyways I thought I should share with you guys!

So I owed 40k on my White GS, trade in value was $38k on kbb, the dealership gave me 39k (which I was happy about, so I wrote a check for the difference $1,000 bucks.
My old payment was $830 because of rolling some negative, not as good purchase price, not as good as incentives and also not as good of money factor.
So this car was $59,368 with incentives and $1,400 back of invoice got it down to $54,200 and on a 2 year lease with 12k miles my payment is $650 with only that $1,000 check to cover the trade.
Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know

Congrats!! Your back seat looks exactly like mine.. Cabernet and two car seats lol only my car seats are much larger graco smart seats unfortunately.
I'm not sure if you can do three car seats in the rear. Off topic but I just learned in my wife's '14 4Runner that the manual says not to even use the middle seat if you have child seats on both outer seats. I'm not sure what our car says about that but I'd look into it.

So $650 with tax? Mine is $720 with around 4-5K negative equity from my trade in and zero at signing. But it's a 48 months lease. lol That 5K neg killed it. lol
But whatever, I'd rather be stuck with a higher payment than driving a car that I don't like for 2+ yrs. U know how that feels..

My payment on my VW CC was $800/mo, half way through the lease I traded it in on the GS. With the GS I kept the 36 month term but get 12k mi instead of the 10k with the CC and my payment went down $100. The residual is so good on the GS compared to the CC or just about anything else.

U know what, I went from a 2014 GS Premium to the 2014 FSport in 5 months. That explains my negative equity. lol
Yea the FSport difference is that great. Normal driving not really, but when ur pushing it in Sport+, that handling is just nice! Plus it's sexy as faaqqqq!!!

I've had my '13 GS a good long time (for me), 28 months. The '15 GS is a contender when I trade, so yes it does say a lot about the way the car does pretty much everything well.

This car feels so planted at high speeds. My old camry even though it's lowered, has bigger wheels and wider tires and with the heavier V6 engine (a lot heavier than the I4 models) still feels like it's gonna take off when I hit 80 MPH+. Not this car though, it just wants to keep going.

Op, do you think your '14 GS sounds any different than your '13 did? Lexus claims to have tweaked the resonators and such in the '14s so I was just curious if you have noticed anything.

Hmmm, I will see if I notice any different, but now that you say that I may have noticed a little something extra!

I know my FSport has more rumble on WOT compared to my 14 Premium.
But maybe it's just me.
