Exclamation Tires are so bad...

Hi

I have a GS 350 2014 ,, the one with LED headlights.

the car came with these tires:
DUNLOP SP Sport MAXX 050 -- 235/40R19

these are really poor tires, they are hard on the road, almost hear every bump, not comfortable at all and they are slippy as hell,

I live in Saudi Arabia, we don't have Snow, rain is barely seen, its always sunny and hot.

I need tires that goes with the car, so comfortable and less noisy on the road, and the most important thing, they grip perfectly, not having to spin on every corner,

please, if anyone knows a good tires help me out, these are making me crazy (I bought the car from the dealer, I've never changed my tires, and I only drove 16000 kilometer).

help me out, Thanks

All of the factory summer tires are crap. I think the Michelin Pilots are nice. I even did some work for you:

http://www.michelinman.com/team-mich...r%20Life/tires

These are straight up summer tires with high grip, just look at the tread on them. They're practically Hoosiers. The Sport Cup 2 is awesome with fat shoulders and tons of contact area.

They're not gonna be cheap but I have a feeling that's not a problem for you.

Wow thanks Afrosheen,

the rear seems 265/35R19 , my current are 235/40R19 , should I go with all the same ? or the rear has to be 265/35R19 ?

Thanks

Sorry, when I looked it up I chose the F Sport RWD which has staggered fitment and larger rear tires. Is yours an F Sport or Luxury model? Is it RWD or AWD? You can step through the Michelin tire recommendation site and try different things until you get the fitment you need starting here: http://www.michelinman.com/team-mich...n-landing.page

Pick Vehicle and enter the relevant information.

>edit: I searched by tire size alone, assuming ALL of your tires are 235/40R19, and got the Super Sport and Sport Cup 2 again. Sport Cup 2 is the ultimate street/track tire they make but wear rating is terrible (performance trade off). Super Sport lives longer but may not handle as well, but will be quieter and more comfortable. Both have favorable tread profiles.

I need quieter and comfortable tires along with the grip/handling, so I should aim for a Pilot Super Sport 235/40R19 right ?
my car is not a F model, its a Luxury model that comes with 235/40R19 Tires, I don't think its in the US like that. and its a RWD

I'll search for it here in Saudi Arabia, hopefully I can find them.

Thanks Afrosheen

They're available in Riyadh and lots of other places in SA from the short Google search I did. Call around to some local tire shops.

And yes, apparently the best balanced tire for your needs is the Super Sport, the Sport Cup 2 is a track-day tire. I know a lot of people here have put Michelins on their 4g's and love them.

Glad I could be of assistance.

One thing though, after you get them and put a few miles on them, you must come back and report on them.

My 4GS came from the factory with Michelin MX4s. I thought all 4GS came with Michelins. They don't?

You're saying nobody in Saudi Arabia stocks Michelin Super Sports? With all the sports cars running around there? That's crazy. Well, I guess you need to do some more research and find a tire dealer in the UAE or somewhere that will ship a set to you, or drop ship them to a local tire shop so you can just drive over and get them installed when they arrive.
