went to install my wheels and they did not drill for the TPMS sensors

Where is the location they usually drill this? by the Valve Stem hole?

ending up taking the wheels back home

Please help thanks

The TPMS is attached to the valve stem, it is part of the valve stem. No drilling required. At least that's how it was on my Camry's wheel, I don't know if Lexus has it different.

I would think its the same. All of my TPMS sensors in my past cars have been attached to the valve stem.

I don't think u need to drill any holes for TPMS.

But I do know on some wheels there are 2 holes for the valve stem and that is because of the wheel design. But u only have to use 1 hole and the other one will be plugged.

You mean no valve stem holes in them. Take the TPMS off the old rims and put them in the new ones. Yes they are attached to the valve stems.

If they are aftermarket wheels some might not fit do to the size of the hole or the design of the wheel. There are ways to get past this problem. You can make the hole bigger to accommodate the larger TPMS steam, place the TPMS in another location, make a pipe bomb, etc.

Apparently there was a mix up between my shop and their distributor . So frustrating. These are aftermarket wheels Work 20 inch wheels.

what Works are they? I know some Works will work with TPMS if you tell them but some models will not.

Stock TPMS will not extend past face of certain wheels. My Work Wheels were pre-drilled on inside of wheel (out of sight) but opposite end (ie. valve stem at 6 o'clock and TPMS at 12 o'clock).

Hope this helps, the top red circle is the aftermarket valve stem. The hole at the bottom is where you would put your Lexus TPMS. Good Luck

i have 2 options now, return this to shop and they will get a place to drill this hole, or get a band strap and wrap around wheel.

What do you guys think?

If you send them back to the shop they are liable if any errors. If you screw up, you're screwed. From what i've read, banding not as secure...i wouldn't.

work will not take them back, they blamed whoever ordered them and asked multiple times if i wanted TPMS holes but supposedly they said no, even though i stated i wanted them.

Think of going the strapped route, read alot last night on internet most people not having issues.
