GS 350 vs IS 350 F SPORTS
I am cross shopping the IS and GS........
Besides a large car, why should I splurge and get the GS over the IS? I plan on leasing the car for 27 months either way. Anyone else make this decision as well?

Yes, I was going to get an IS 350 FSport and ended up getting a GS 350 Premium after several test drives. The GS has more cool features for me and it's bigger.

Yes, I regret it every single day. But I can live with the Premium until my next upgrade.
I've always been an FSport fan and if it wasn't for the 5K difference I would've gotten the FSport, the price difference was just too big for me at the time. But the premium isn't all that bad. I'll see if I can swap my lease in a year or two, or just wait until I'm done with it.

I went from a 2nd gen IS to a 4th gen GS. My reasons for choosing the GS over the 3rd gen IS besides the obvious of it being a larger car was the interior fit and finish. Quality of materials is much better on the GS. The dash is pleasing to the eyes and elegant vs very busy looking and just doesn't have a nice flow to it on the IS IMO. Another was lack of options in the IS F-Sport such as automatic windshield wipers, ventilated seats, tilting side view mirrors.

I've also been comparing the two lately. It seems that you can't get ventilated seats on the GS F Sport (2015 3IS F Sport has them standard), but I'm not sure if that's a deal breaker for you or not. After comparing the regular sound system to the ML on the 3IS, I decided I had to have it. It seems that on the GS that means special order or just get the F Sport and give up the ventilated seats.
Otherwise I've heard nothing but the GS being an upgrade from the IS in every aspect. But of course for an extra 10k it should be.

Had the same dilemma, loved the IS look but could not sit in it comfortable, just too cramped in for me. Gs over all a good buy no matter how you look at it.
Got the gs fsport and i think i made the right choice over the is.

The IS is a fun car but from experience of drivign my friends on long trips ( my car is way to low to drive long distances).
Its a tad bit small for me keep in mind im 6' and 250 lbs.
The GS I have loved every time I have driven and or sat in it.

I loved the new IS exterior better than the GS exterior (both F-sports). However, the GS interior is hands down more luxurious in every single way. Nav screen is a million times nicer. I live in Southern California, so being able to get ventilated seats in the f-sport was a major benefit. Also, the GS seats simply can't be beat. Most comfortable seat I've ever sat in.
Lease deals on the GS are outstanding out here.

I really, really wanted the IS. Why? LED headlights and the gauges. Seriously.
But in the end, at 6'2" and with a 5'10" wife and two kids under 10, the car was just too damned small.
Also...bigger infotainment screen, cooled seats and actual leather in FSport were plusses.

I was under the impression that the GS F-Sport didn't have ventilated seats? But perhaps I was wrong about that. I know the 14 IS F Sport doesn't have them here in the US, but it will be standard heated/ventilated on the IS F Sport in 2015.

The GS F-Sport does have heated and ventilated seats. Mine are. And yes, they are coming in the '15 IS F-Sport.
