SW -- Very interesting thought and I've seen that others have posted the film attributing to the noise. I have a clear bra with the side mirrors protected. However, for my noise, it stops as soon as I let go of the gas -- still traveling at a good rate of speed.

I'm bringing it in on Thursday so lets see what they say - Will update everyone.

I was responding to rjm. Your noise is a different noise. The car has a mechanical "whining" or "spoolong" type noise with throttle thats just a characteristic of the drivetrain. You get used to it.

Thanks for the information. But I noticed the wind noise without the PPF the day that I drove the car back home. And after installing the PPF, the level of wind noise is about the same.

I tried taking off the PPF myself but couldn't get under it without scratching the mirror so have an appointment tomorrow at the dealer to have it removed. Hopefully that will fix it. You can't carry on a normal conversation at highway speeds in my car because of the high noise from the right side. Forget about listening to the radio at 70-75 mph.

I was hoping that issue would be fixed on the 14GS.
I had a wind noise as well on my 2013 GS and when I brought it to the dealer to check the weatherstripping that was all fine. It was the protective film and one of the service guys was aware having done it on an LS so they replaced it with the latest version of the film for the mirrors and it's all gone now. May be worth another ask if you're hearing it too.

I have a 14 GS F Sport and I also don't get these noises. Very quiet ride with the exception of tire noise from the crappy Bridgestone tires

Also, the engine clicking sound I hear from outside the car when it is idling.

i get the whistling near the driver side mirror that others get once in a while. also have some rattles here and there that seem to come and go - its been hot so maybe some plastic flexing is going on. lexus looks to do a great job to put in pads to minimize rattling.
