A pano roof, sleeker led headlights and a bit more modern rear end with led robotic looking tail lights would look cool. Not black trim pieces. No thanks. And the red and black interior makes it look like it's trying to be a ricer IS250 off of fast and furious or something ghetto.

Yeah, me too. But the thing I love the most is being able to get the black striated wood with the F Sport package. Maybe we can just get the dealer to paint the door handles and mirrors.

Put my money down on a 2015 GS 350 Luxury today. Orders wont go in until the end of
August with a delivery date in mid October. Didn't want to wait on Possible changes in 2016.
Besides if I want to upgrade I won't do it in the first year model change. I'll wait til the second year
production.
Red with the Flaxen interior coming for Halloween!

With regards to this new Lexus model at the LA Auto Show in November, I'm guess a no-go on the GS F making an apperance?

I believe the Gen 8 system uses an SD Card that you buy and pop in for navigation upgrades instead of an Activation Card and Hard Drive that is required for the upgrade. The dealer is the only one who can upgrade your navigation system with the current Gen 7 system - I assume with the SD Card you can buy it online and pop in the new one sort of like the way the old DVD systems worked.
Also - the Gen 8 system in the IS offers natural language input for destination - so instead of saying the city, then the street, then the house number you can just say "123 Main Street, New York, NY" and it would accept it.
Not sure if there are any other features in Gen 8 that are new.

As correctly noted, with gen 8 the voice commands are much improved, even including control of Enform ("launch Bing" or "launch Pandora" for example) and one line address inputs. Your cell battery and signal strength are displayed. You have birds eye view and 3D buildings. You can split the screen in a number of different ways, and overall I find control much easier. Traffic and weather are subscription free, and free for life (comes over HD Radio instead of XM).
Updates, despite being on SD cards, are still done at the dealer.
