I had to reschedule my appointment because of this reason. Don't want my car to be a guinea pig.

Is Lexus Corp. policy to give the free tank fill up on a recall or is it the dealer??

Got mine done today, took longer than expected because the tech was late but they had a loaner and filled up my tank. The service advisor said it was standard when they do a recall like this one, so go in dry!

Checked my VIN as well - 2013 GS, "There are no open Safety Recalls or Service Campaigns for this vehicle."

Yeah, my adviser told me they were only allowed to do one per week.

Did you get the recall notice in the mail? That's how I knew about in the first place.

same here. took mine to Rockville as well. My adviser thought it was just a safety bulletin but he thanked me after he was able to submit 3 hours towards his monthly pay.

LOL, I know right? I don't trust them with Obsidian. I went in for a CEL on Monday and when I went back later in the day to get my car, the girl said, "we noticed some spots on your car from the rain the other day, sure you don't want us to run it through the wash? It'll only take 10-15 minutes". Nope, I said no wash, I'll wash it by hand like always.

I think that made the valet guy happy because they were closing in 15 minutes. Last thing they wanna do is towel off a car at the end of a long hot day anyway. Either that or the, ahem, tasteful nudes I added to the startup and screen off screens.

I got this done with an oil change at JM Lexus. My wife did not know about the gas fill and had just filled up the car lol.

The job did take a little longer than expected so I had the loaner for an extra day. JM Lexus brought the GS to our home which made life super easy and picked up the loaner.

I can't tell any difference and we are super happy.

Had mine done a couple weeks ago. My wife drove the 100 miles to get there, they put her in a loaner then called and said they wouldn't have the part til the next day. They offered to deliver the vehicle back to us as well as fill up when they got to our town. My wife opted to go pick it up herself and of course it was nicely washed and full of gas.
