Hmm, i just did my recall yesterday. i didn't get a gas card. Sure it's not a dealer thing. My tank was already full.

Surprisingly, my service writer never heard of it. They thought it was a service bulletin.

I've never heard of the gas card, but yes you get a tank of gas, but since yours was already full they didn't put any in it.

I don't think I'm getting any gas from my dealer. I remember I had the valve spring recall done on my 3GS, it was a pretty big job, I had to drive RX for 3 days. When I finally got the car back, not only that they did not put any gas in it, they almost used all the gas I had ( my guess to test the engine ? )

i havent gotten any letters. and called my dealership and they said no recalls at this moment. is this for early 2013 production cars?

If you read the earlier posts in the thread, it is not for the early 2013 production cars, but it does effect some 2013 models. No 2014 models are included. There is also a link to check your VIN number.

Unfortunately, at the moment dealers are only allowed to order 4 parts kits per week (1 non-fsport, 1 fsport, 1 non-fsport AWD, and 1 fsport AWD).... So one of each car can be repaired per week. Volume will continue to increase, as letters go out slowly as to not create a rush. Unfortunately, our CL community gets the word out early, so everyone is eager to get it done.

You should be getting a full tank of gas and loaner with this recall...

Definitely come in with an empty tank. They won't refill after they close the ticket.

I have never heard of Lexus filling the tank beyond the initial purchase of the vehicle...

Lexus has always provided a full tank of gas with any major service campaigns.

Brake pads are not part of this service campaign....

i think i just made the cut. I placed my order in the middle of January '13 and delivery was at the end of May.
