I traded my 2013 G550 last week for something a little more practical. Absolutely loving being back with Lexus. I've been trying to black out my car since then. First, sent it to my vinyl guy to cover the chrome bits. Then tried my hand at Plasti Dip for the emblems and exhaust cutouts, which was surprisingly easy. Next up is red tail light tint, and springs and spacers (but I really don't want to mess up the ride). Also trying to figure out the best way to darken the front grill emblem, I'm thinking a small tint cutout. Let me know what you guys think!

I've been thinking of doing the same to my black Fsport. Really digging the look. Not sure about the exhaust though, will the coating be able to deal with the exhaust heat?

I've read about people using plastidip on the exhaust pipe itself and it held up so I don't think the fake tips should be a problem lol.

Looks good, when you did them emblems, did you just peel off the overspray on the paint?

Yes, it peels off very easily from the paint. The longest part was just waiting in between coats.

For the front, you should look for the black pearl logo. They make a nice fat one for the front grille and it would look good on your car.

I think the OP meant get the red tint cut out to cover the amber..

BTW, I think that upgrade is a must for all 4GS'. Car is looking clean and welcome back to the Lexus fam..

Use dark window tint film on the front emblem. Simple.

That would've been easier but I went with the black pearl logo on Sewell. I loved the embossed emblem.

Also have Tanabe springs and 20mm H&R spacers coming this week and I'll hopefully be done for a little while.

Had the Tanabe springs installed and the red-out tail light tint. Now just waiting on the rear spacers. She's starting to look so pretty with only 500 miles on her.

This emblem was such a B*t@h to take off. I read it was hard to take off and you have to end up breaking it but I was fighting it for 30 mins before it shattered off lol. But it was all worth it after I stepped back and took a look.

Yeah op i was gonna recommend that front emblem for you to get, anything else looks bad imo.

The side door black out has such a big difference on the car, looks a lot nicer
