Just got my GS back after 2 days of wheel repair (thanks to potholes) and getting new tires put on. The Dunlops that came with the car weren't bad, but after 16k miles they were losing traction and the road noise had always been questionable on certain surfaces.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports make a huge difference. The ride is nice, the road noise is less and the grip is much better. I had a 3IS as a loaner and was really enjoying the handling. The steering is unbelievably direct and you can throw the car around corners. I was wishing my GS was that nimble. Now that I have the new tires on my GS it is much closer.

LOL same thing happened to me to when I had an IS loaner damn that car is so good. the steering is way better than my GS but I think the tires are 60% of the problem. I'm still on the stock tires '' Bridgestone'' potenza i think 18K as of today. they are horrible and was waiting on someone with Michelin Pilot super sport to give us a review and here you are

I dont know why many people complain about Bridgestones, personally I like them. They grip well, noise, well cant do much with any tires. Thread holds up well.

I had Michelins on my Acura, they were ok, swaped them for yokohomas, much better ride and grip. Was wondering if you can het YK for the GS stock rims?

On a BMW 5 series with M Sport, that sounds like a new radiator, an iDrive glitch, a window regulator, a couple 02 sensors and a loose gas cap.

The bridgestones were horrible. I had them for 20K and they were bald when I had to change them. Tire noise was an issue especially when it got closer to the end.

I switched to Michelin Pilot Super Sport and these tires are much better. Tire noise was better controlled and grip was much better. The only complaint I have is the look of the tire. For some reason it makes the F-sport rim look smaller. (Maybe it's the shape of the sidewall?) Lexus should have these on new cars rather than the bridgestones. The Michelins were even a few dollars cheaper than the bridgestones, and they had a rebate on top of it. It was an easy choice.

Sport summer tires on my 2006 AWD GS made me think there was something wrong with the steering on my 2010 RWD GS. The AWD's steering felt 5x more sporty than the RWD. It wasn't until I put winter tires on the AWD GS that I realized the tires were what was making me think the steering feel was drastically different.

I have an IS350 Fsport with the Bridgestone Turanzas...not the greatest, but way better than the Continentals I had on my Audi A6.

I just recently purchased a set of Michelin PSS going with the 245/40 up front and 275/35 in the rear. For those of you that went wider, what do you set your tire pressure too? I would think the 35 psi up front and 36 psi in the rear no longer applies since it's a wider tire?

I feel the same way about my Pilot Sport A/S3+, going a size larger makes the car feel like it has a much better stance and agility from the the OEM Dunlops that were on the car.. Much quieter as well.

I would say that Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Pilot Sport A/S3+ are at or near the top of the list.
