Too Late to Order a 2014 GS350?
I've been looking online for a new 2014 GS350 RWD luxury pkg configuration that has all right options and colors, but haven't found it yet. A dealer recently told me the 2015 GS350 would not arrive until November. So, does anyone here know if I can still order a 2014 or is it too late?
Also, can you order the cold weather pkg on a RWD GS350 or must it be an AWD?
I've been a Mercedes owner for many years, but I think the Lexus now offers much more for less money.
Thanks

from what I understand, when you order any car wait is about 3 month, so it is up to you.
The only thing for sure is that you gonna get deal is so much better on the 2014.

Pretty sure someone else mentioned that dealers could start ordering 2015 in July. Plus since you missed the order cutoff date for June (20th), your order won't be sent until the July 20th order phase. May as well order a 2015 or find a 2014 you will be happy with. So yeah I would say you can't special order 2014s anymore.

My dealer said it would take about 4 months for special orders and can get rejected at anytime. Forget that!

Thanks for the advice about taking a 2014 now vs a 2015. What percentage discount should I be able to get on 2014 with an MSRP of $61K?
Any response on whether the cold wx pkg is available on a RWD or must it be an AWD?

That is how I ordered mine.
Why didn't you just ask the dealership if you could still order a 2014?
Random people on the internet won't be able to answer this question as well as the person who actually orders the cars would.
I'd think that you could still order a 2014 just fine right now.
The 2014's didn't come out until last November and dealers were still getting in new 2013's right up until this date (at least all of the dealers around me).
I originally ordered my car the 1st day that they let the dealers order the 2014's and it was something like 9/29. I think that you still have a while.
I think that if you want to get a great deal on a 2014 then you'll need to wait until late December or January when they are really wanting the 2014's off of their lots.

Yes, you can get cold weather on a RWD vehicle...

I didn't ask that dealer about ordering a 2014 because he's up north and he said any GS350 orders would have to be for AWD vs RWD. He was referring to 2015 orders, but I felt the ordering constraint would apply to 2014s. It's possible he was trying to manipulate me toward buying from his 2014 GS350 inventory which was all AWD.
I spent some time tonight with a friend and I recalled he once had a couple of Lexus cars in the past and has been driving Mercedes for the past 5 yrs. I asked him about repair frequency, and he said there were no repairs needed on his Lexus cars, but has had many annoying problems with his three high-end Mercedes. That said, he prefers the way the Mercedes drives and responds on the road. He said his Lexus (LS4xx) just felt soft and mushy on the highway.
Thanks again - very helpful.

My Canadian dealership won't accept new orders for 2014s just existing inventory from the system. Also they have no information on 2015 GS, NX or RCs.... so not sure WTF Lexus is playing at.

That's interesting...last week at the dealer near me in FL the sales mgr said he had placed an order for his RC350, and showed me a neat fold up sort of brochure on the RC, and expects to have it in late Sept.

OP: Any reputable dealer that wants your business can search the database of vehicles across the country and also see what is on the boats. Lay out exactly what you want and see how close they come to finding one. I think you'll have less negotiating room for "huge" discounts going this route, but you shouldn't have to pay anywhere near sticker.
Ordering a 2015 now will most likely yield sticker price.
Also, why do you need the cold weather package in Florida?

I am aware that several warm weather southern US states will be the first to see the RC.... months before Canada. They actually advertised that in the early brochure. But good eye Sgooter

If your only reason for not wanting AWD is the $2k cost, that would easily be made up in the difference between the deal you could make on an on the lot car and a special order.
