The car unlocks once you touch the inside of the handle.

I have a 2013 GS350 and my mirrors don't fold in and out. Can you tell me how to make this happen?

Thanks

The power folding mirrors are only on the 2014, the 2013 doesn't have this feature.

Yes, put hands on each mirror and push in. LOL. 2013 does not have that option. Must have 2014 or higher. I know because I have 2013. I did have a 2007 GS and those mirrors were automatic. Go figure.

I haven't tested that personally, but yeah, it's possible that locking the car from the inside is not considered "locking" it for this purpose because the car doesn't know whether you're planning to stay in the car or not. But yeah, I'd say this is easily fixable by locking it from the touch sensor on the door handle instead. It's about the same amount of work, if not less. I'm guessing the habit of locking from the inside is from an old car that didn't have a remote, maybe? (and certainly not a smart key)

The setting I'm talking about in Carista is:

Auto fold side-view mirrors
WITH IGNITION / WITH DOOR LOCKS / DISABLED
I don't have an Android phone.
There must be some way to have the mirrors fold in when the ignition is turned off? But I can't find out how and I think I've looked at all the settings I could find?
I park in the garage and don't lock the car, but want the mirrors to fold automatically so the wife doesn't get a chance to rip them off lol

There is a way - ask the dealership to change the setting for you. It is a custom setting that can only be changed via Carista or via the dealership. The setting itself is changed via the OBDII port - the dealership has a special tool that allows them to change the setting. Carista does something similar (it actually requires the app and a Bluetooth OBDII scanner).

Thank You Ryan! Very helpful reply.
I'll hook my OBDII tool and maybe I can change it myself

Forgive my ignorance, since I have a '13 model, but I assume there is a button that allows you to fold the mirrors yourself if you are parking in a tight space or going to an ATM? Just so you don't have to wait until the car is already parked? I'm interested because I'll probably be trading for another GS in the near future.

Yeah there's a button that folds them on demand.

For them to fold and open automatically when locking the door, either the right or left mirror adjustment must be selected along with the auto button. If neither Left or Right is selected the auto-fold does not work.

Hope this is the answer to question being asked.

Are you talking about when locking with a FOB or by placing your hand on the door?

Because if you are talking about locking by hand, it doesn't matter if the selected Left or Right mirror. mine is never selected, just AUTO and it does folds them when I Lock it with my hand, but if I lock it from the INSIDE, (I click on the Lock button on the door) then it wont Fold.

Don't mean to Hi-Jack this thread, and I know this is the GS forum. But all this talk about the Carista app has me wondering.. Will this app work with the 2015 RX F-Sport??
