Thanks for the voice commands, that is so nice of you.

I am still trying to figure out how real time traffic can be put on the map?
The real time traffic is linked with your Sirius XM radio subscription, you have to get that when you sign up for the service, it's like $7 extra/mo.

For the radio stations. Work on Setting them in to the presets 1-6 on the left side of the radio screen by tuning them in, then pressing and holding on what preset you want to save it under. Remember, the car doesn't car whether you are saving an AM, FM, or SAT station. Once you set all you stations, you just use the aarow buttons in silver on the left hand side of the steering wheel to navigate up and down the list. The car will do the switching between AM, FM, and SAT for you.

I wouldn't go smaller than 18" wheels....if you decide to change wheels.

You could also upsize the tires, to give you slightly more cushion on the sidewall.

If you bought at a Lexus dealer, set up a time with the Lexus Technology Specialist and have them go over everything you have questions about. I think you would be pleased after that. This biggest thing I've found with voice commands is you have to tell it what it wants to hear. You kinda have to phrase things a certain way.

For the mats, the previous owner replaced the carpeted mats with the rubber all-weather mats. You can order carpeted mats for it if you'd like from the dealer, or SewellPartsOnline.com, etc.

Yes, get it from Sewell. Local dealers will be much more expensive.

+2 on Sewell parts purchases. I've found their prices cheaper WITH shipping than local dealers. Plus, I don't have to leave my house. Depending on the item, filling the order and shipping is typically really quick.

Their service is unbelievably amazing, it took them less than a week to order my new bumper, painted it, then delivered it to my door.

Make sure to use the Club Lexus special pricing.

Check out their website and see if they have anything you would like...

The forum is a great wealth of knowledge. Spend some time reading back through the past threads and searching on the topics of tint, clear bras, and trailer hitches. You will find lots of information without even needing to ask.

I dont have the help I used to have, some of these dealers are sort of intimidating to us, my sales guy kept talking about "low end tork" - and I didnt really grasp that,l but I totally love the car. Sometimes the sales people get irritated by women.

I did do my research on my phone and saw that the lexus won in a comparison test against other models, so i went with lexus. I was really only there to look at colors, but it was fun to walk out with a car. I just am a little overwhelmed by the car and it makes me a little nervous, and I dont drive as well when I am nervous.

I apologize if you are a real person Your post was just so contradictory that it wasn't making any real sense - especially if this is a Lexus dealer or BMW for that matter. Also, no one knows everything, I don't know everything. If you don't ask questions you would never know, but don't hesitate to pull out your owners manual! It answers a lot of your questions, a little research goes a long way - answer your questions, tell you the model of your car (BTW this is also on the trunk of the car, unless it was shaved off), and how to care for it.

I don't see why you would have to setup a meeting to go in and talk to someone - they possibly can't be busy to give you a few minutes, especially because it sounds like you go to this dealership often. And if it is still a problem, I would consider a new dealer unless you like to be treated badly. I just can't imagine they "forced" you to buy it, have a backbone otherwise people will "force" you to do a lot of things.

Clear Bra & Tint - search "tinting" in Google or Yelp for your area and it should give you some shops that provide these services, also you will get some reviews so you could judge which installer offers better quality.

Trailer hitch - not recommended for our cars (as per the manual). Besides, please don't cut into the bumper - it's such a pretty car. You might want to look into another solution, perhaps a rack that wraps around and hangs of the trunk?

Lexus is an awesome brand that stands behind their products! Good luck and welcome!

P.S. - just because the car is Japanese doesn't mean it only understands Japanese - this was just a rude and ignorant comment. We want none of that here

I understand the Japanese thing - I was just wondering if the car's language needs to be set. I have had to do that with my Mac and phone, etc. Sorry, no offense intended. I am not so clear sometimes when I get nervous, sorry.

OK, so my main question I think right now is - can I get 18" wheels instead of 19s since I have the AWD model. I would like to get regular 18s, so the ride is less harsh and get some conti dws contact tires.

And I totally also want to do clear bra/tinting, so I found some local guys to do it.

The dealership is a BMW/lexus/mercedes dealer, i like the area it is in, but they really don't want to really deal with me. I saw that they posted my trade for sale, and for a much higher price than i sold it to them that's a total bummer, and makes me feel a little sick.

Oh well i really like the car (just paying gas, it is raining here), and I think the first thing I want to do is get down to 18s for a more easy ride.

This is my first lexis, so I am kind of still figuring out the idrive on it, but i think I am starting to understand the menus. One of my friends' brother is going to come over this weekend to try to help me, he's better at cars.

I can't wait to take the car to costco or the mall and see how much stuff will fit in the trunk. It seems pretty big. I don't think the seats fold down - (not sure if I am stupid or what, don't see a button for it), so the large trunk is appreciated.

The car is also really fast. I wonder what sort of mpg I'll get, i think around 20 seems about what I would expect.

Also, the keys are need, but is it possible to lock the key in the car or trunk by accident, or will it not allow that to happen? In other words, can it sense if the key in in there? I am scared to try, but I leave these keys everywhere so it is bound to happen, i am sometimes a little out there and forget

OK, and also i was at the car wash, and two guys said "nice car" and asked me about it. So thats sorta cool, but Im a little shy so I just kinda nodded, but one had a mercedes so thats even double cool.

What PSI are your tires aired to? Make sure they aren't overinflated. Theres not that huge a difference in ride between the 19s and the 18s, and replacing the 19s with a set of 18s and tires is going to cost you a lot, not worth it.

I'd just get a set of Michelin Primacy MXM4s for your 19s and make sure they are at the correct tire pressure.

And its "Lexus" not "lexis"

The dealer certainly screwed you big time on both the purchase and the trade. Don't let it bother you now, its over and done with. Next time you have to make sure you stay in control of the transaction.

I am really beginning to dislike this dealer, but there showroom is so nice with leather couches, and a receptionist, and i even got to sit in the LX big truck that they have there - I felt like a total baller in that one, but they wouldn't let me consider it.

Anyway, my car has turanza le 400 02 tires. So i figured going 18 would give me a better ride. That tire is not well rated anyway (its a bridgestone product, not michelin or goodyear or pirelli, so thats that).

I connected my phone a few minutes ago! Cool, but SMS comes up on the nav screen! I would die if I were out with a friend and some random texts from others show up. Not everyone texts in an appropriate SFW fashion. People say some wild stuff! I think there is a way to turn it off if needed.

Also, i got the XM radio working! It seems like i have some sort of partial subscription. Also the NAV has someone else's home address in it. Wild. Would be funny to drive by there

Awesome, i like the car. Samantha
