It's bad for a V6 and driving in Eco mode doesn't seem to help either.

My wife normally drives it and gets around 17 in pure city driving. I dove it myself for a full week. Over 400 miles I averaged 26. Obviously that was a lot of highway, but much of that was Houston rush hour and probably 15% was city streets. I got about 31 on extended 70 mph cruising.

I normally get 17-19 MPG and it's a mix of city and highway. On my recent road trip, I averaged 25, which is the highest I've seen on my car.

18 hoofing it and local. 21 normal, but still a lot of local. Have yet to break 26 even on a long highway trip.

On my one long highway trip to date (around 500 miles total) I averaged 25 MPG(us) according to the dashboard display. I consider that decent for a 4,000 LB car with AWD at 75 MPH or so.

Surprised no ones mentioned how many miles are on their car. The first several thousand are all 'break-in' not for performance but for efficiency. I recall it taking me close to 5K miles on the ODO before the 3.5 went from a solid 15mpg to 22-24mpg depending on driving style. Also keep in mind variables such as vehicle weight (add-ons), weather/temp/environment, tire inflation, quality of gas etc.
