Unhappy Sharing my painful rock chips... Up close

I recently bought a macro lens for my iPhone so I decided to take it for a test run. Try not to cringe while looking at the pics.

I just ordered a new front bumper for my 2 months old GS from Sewell. We'll see how it is compared to the factory quality.

Consider paint protection film.

These are all on the front bumper aside from one being on the hood (the metal is visible).

this is why i don't look for chips/scratches. Like Duke suggested, consider PPF

This is useless, if you want protection get the full front protective film. I have the half cover and the rocks will bounce off the film onto the paint.

Paint protection film is great for minimizing the damage. After evaluating my non-film protected cars I decided that front fascia only would work best for me. Partly covered parts leave lines that look worse than chips, imo. I can deal w/occasional chips, but not the 'sandblasted' look (what my IS fascia looked like after about 5yrs). Something to consider. It's what works for me.

It was a set of three lenses on sale for $11 on groupon. The product website said they retail at $35. Here are a few shots of the interior.

Geez you can see DNA with that lens! What iPhone do you have? Is it some sort of attachment or is it an internally installed thing?

Sorry for diverting attention from your rock chips lol. My front bumper and hood are coated in rock chips and just a few days ago I watched a rock fly out of a guys tire and put a nasty hole in my windshield. DIRECTLY in front of the driver seat so I get to stare at it until it gets fixed.

Pretty cool right!? I have a 5S. It is just a clip on lens. It comes with adhesive backed rings that you can attach around the camera and the lens are magnetic so they snap right on and off. The metal ring around the camera is a little ugly but it make sit so easy to attach the lens and snap it right back off. The package came with a wide angle, macro, and fisheye lens.
