It is not sad anymore...Lexus responded and added them back for the 2014.
As a 2013 owner, I wish it had the folding mirrors, but I bought the car knowing full well that it didn't. So I really don't have any room to complain.
Just my thoughts...

I don't disagree. I believe my 07 even had power folding mirrors.
Would be cool if there was a cheap way to upgrade it.
My only point was we all signed on the dotted line knowing what we were getting.

Lol thanks for your thoughts all, I freaking love the GS too! I got jupped as I test drove several 2014's thinking they were the same and then made an offer on a used F-Sport out of state But whose fault is that...MINE!
Unfortunately it might take a bit more research than I anticipated, and I might need to get Lexus involved as the Sewell rep I heard back from mentioned that their maybe a new harness required, and that the fuse box might have to be wired for the folding mirrors. I will look through the manual and the fuse boxes, hopefully it shares the same fuse as the heated, blind spot monitoring, puddle lights, or turn signal!
I will continue on my quest!

Sounds like big bucks and not worth it.

I confirmed from Sewell's website, the 2013 IS has the same number for the base of the mirror. As you pointed out, that part is painted, so unless you wanted to have it color matched, if you buy a used part it may be a different color. But at least it appears the 2013 GS owners who would like to integrate the folding option can use older IS mirror parts..
