I don't know, I did notice the glass on the bottom driver side corner looked "different". Almost computer chip like. I assumed it was for the wipers. Just a guess, I truly don't know

The front side windows are also water repelling. If you hold a hose up to the front side window and then to the rear side window you will see a difference in how the two handle the water from the hose.

Always get OEM parts, it'll save you the headaches later.

The water repellant side windows... Is that a feature within the glass itself, or is it something that is attached to the glass that does that?
Basically, I'm having my passenger side front window replaced on Monday. I'm promised it will be OEM, do I need to look for something special for this rain repellant feature in the new glass?

Does anyone know if the 2015 has duel pane and is water repelling? I for sure have duel pane but while washing it, it seemed water beaded right off the front windows. Also while I was driving in the rain and the droplets just scurry off leaving my window near dry.

I've been insured with USAA for over 40 years but I wouldn't let SAFELITE AUTOGLASS any where near my car. I took an LS430 to them for a cracked windshield replacement several years ago and they did $800 worth of damage to my car by dripping adhesive on the wood trim on the dash. It is your right to use any company you want for glass replacement. After hassling with Safelite over their denial of responsibliity, I took it to the Lexus dealer and they did an excellent job of replacing it.
