Would you mind listing the settings currently available in the Carista app for the 2013 Lexus GS? Based on the settings available, I would be interested in purchasing the software.

thx

[QUOTE=Carista;8461318]
All of them had the option to OPEN the windows/sunroof via the remote.

Anyway, I'd be curious to find out whether your GS supports this setting of closing the windows/sunroof from the remote. If the dealer can change it, then Carista can change it as well.QUOTE]

My US 2014 GS350 RWD w/ Luxury package, etc. does not have support for closing the windows with the fob. It is not an option. I checked this yesterday using our ~$10,000 (I believe) techstream laptop. This is the same tool that the dealerships use. This is not speculation or a dealership telling me "no". I have personally verified this.

The exact list of available settings really depends on the exact year, model, factory options, and market/country of sale. There is a debug feature in the app that can collect and send me data about available settings, so if someone here is willing to do that for a 2013 GS, I can analyze it and post it up here for everyone to see. It would, of course, be just 1 example of the settings available on 1 particular car, but it will help you get an idea about what kinds of things could be available. I have examples from some other cars (e.g. an IS, RX, ES) but not from a GS.

If you have the ELM327 hardware, it's free to see what settings Carista can change on your specific car.

Good to know, thanks for the info. Well there's your answer, guys.

How does one access the debug settings?

A few months ago, I had some other custom settings changed (from the manual). However, these are not visible in the Carista software. I wonder if everything is visible to your software...

Regards, Peter

Hi, I'll send you a PM. Carista doesn't yet support ALL settings, but we're working on it I'll let you know how to use the test version and get me some debug data. The test version does have a few additional settings activated.

I just sent the debug data for a 2013 GS350 Luxury Edition purchased in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hopefully this will give us an idea of what we can do.

Thanks and regards, Peter

Does the Carista currently have these functions available now?

Open windows/sunroof by holding key in door lock
ON / OFF (mine is set from factory)

Close windows/sunroof by holding key in door lock
ON / OFF Is this option available now through Carista? If so I would purchase this app in a heartbeat)

Open windows and sunroof via long-press on remote
ON / OFF (mine is set from factory)

Auto-turn on seat heater in ECO mode
YES / NO (Does this mean, the seat heater will turn on when you change from normal to eco mode? Can the seat heater be set to stay on until you manually shut it off. I turn mine on manually and it is time to turn off by itself. I would like to have it on so when I do remote start the car in the morning it will warm or cool my seats for me and remember my last setting. Is that possible, I know some GS4 seat heater and cooler are set to stay on until you manually turn them off.

Yes, those 4 settings are available in the current version of Carista. Again, it depends on whether your specific car supports them, but you can always try Carista and it will list the available settings for your specific car FOR FREE, before you buy. I'll have to check on the exact function of the seat heater setting and get back to you tomorrow.

Ah, if you're looking to CLOSE the windows/sunroof with the REMOTE, you're most likely out of luck on a 4th-gen GS (based on what people have said in this thread and also based on the data that was sent to me by abqpete). You can close them by holding the key in the lock position in the physical door lock cylinder, or you can OPEN them using either the lock cylinder or the remote.

This setting is about physically holding the key in the lock, not about pressing a button on the remote:

Carista, so you are saying you can close the windows and sun roof by holding the physical door handle button/sensor where you normally lock the door (on the outside of the door)? I know on my LS460 you can close the windows by doing that but the GS4 I was not able to and Lexus told me that was not possible on the GS4. I am not sure who is correct... Please confirm if that is correct. I am so close to buying you app, just need to make sure that is possible.

No, I think he meant by using the physical key and hold it in the lock position.
