The stock wheel gap is just so ridiculous, I don't know how you non F-Sport guys can stay stock and ride around in those 4x4 looking vehicles you have.

Hah, yeah, for me the guide to wheel gap has always been distance from rim to tire outer diameter needs to be greater than or equal to the gap between the outer diameter of the tire and the fender.

For example, let's say on any car, you have 15" rims and end up with a 4" sidewall. If there are 4 inches between the top of the tire and the fender, it is acceptable. Switch to 19" wheels with a low profile tire, 2.5" sidewall, with a 2.5" gap, that also looks balanced. I think there's a magic automotive design ratio there that designers aim for, like a "golden rule" of wheel gap.

Here are some examples for your edification, see what you think about them.

Too much gap:

Right ratio (or close) but due to the large-ish wheels, gap looks excessive:

Not enough gap. Notice the gap is much smaller than the sidewall.

Like Goldilocks said, this one is just right. Notice the equal sidewall to gap ratio:

Of course, this is all opinion, take it for what it's worth, but it's the best theory I've come up with for wheel gap aesthetics.

I don't get the obsession with gaps either. The mini SUV one above just looks like a car having too small tires. All the stock Lexus (and BMW, Honda, Toyota, Audi, etc) cars I've seen I don't really notice the gap and I don't think it looks horrible.

The gap doesn't bother me but if it's a little less I wouldn't mind. On the other hand we sometimes get so caught up and assume that sports cars must have small wheel gaps. Wheel gap may help a little bit and/or make the car look nicer but, IMO, sporty or not is really the car itself. Look at these wheel gaps? They are not that far off from the GS, are they?

The potential post drop symptoms are also concerns for me because I don't want to spend time at the service centers. I was also considering the F Sport wheels but I would have to keep these around and find a way to get risk of the F Sports when it's time to turn the car in. All things considered, I decided to keep them as is. After seeing so many different wheels, I think they look great for the luxury model. For some reasons I never have a feel for the premium wheels.

Here you go...
which version of the GS gets these wheels? Really wanna know. These look so much better then the boring stale stock rims
