Default My Brakes Are Bad!

Hoping now my dealer will believe me, I made a video of the problem. This Brake squeak is terrible, it is way to loud. My service rep didn't believe me and now I sent them this and they are making a case hope they find something, a little frustrating.

I had both my brakes and rotors replaced by my Lexus Dealership for Free under the TSB. They should not question you since there is a TSB for it. Sounds like they just want you money. Drive to Dallas and got to Park Place they will take care of you.

lol thats about 1700 miles away probably wont go to Dallas. They said its because my car doesn't fall within the vin# since its AWD we apparently have the replacement brakes and rotors already.

mine does this, too, but only once or twice when I first use the brakes in the morning. Seems to be a common issue for 4GS.

I had that same problem and the exact same sound. The dealer replaced my front brakes last year and the problem never came back. I'm in Dallas too so you should just drive here. I went to Sewell and not Park Place.

Wow, I thought this only happens to Hondas/Acuras. Have you tried some "no squeal" paste or Teflon coated brake shims? There's a lot of DIY solutions, just Google it.

What did they tell you when they heard it? That sounds pretty bad like the wear indicator scratching the rotor surface. If there's plenty of pad left, keep insisting something is wrong. Brake squeal should not be that loud. Tsb or not, they should warranty IMO.

Well when I brought it in my service rep had a tech check and they didnt hear anything got home and heard the noise. So I made a video and my service rep said wow thats bad but still they are waiting for a fix as they say the TSB is basically what I have now. I'm getting a little annoyed as I'm about to go on vacation and don't want this noise to be loud everywhere I go.

Take it back to Lexus, have them compare the new rotors to your existing and see. Even if the vin might not be listed, there is a slight chance you could have the old style rotor. Fix and no noise for me.

Anybody have pics of the old style rotor vs new rotors? My build date is Dec 2013, I most likely have the new rotors but you never know.. Brakes are quiet so far but man.. the brake dust after a week is terrible..

There's a reason the stock F wheels are dark in color, you won't see all that brake dust until you hose down the wheels.

I agree, take the car back for a quick check and get the brakes addressed. The mechanics may need to add the anti-squeal paste to the back of the pad and/or a teflon shim to minimize vibration/squeal.
