It is, of course a personal thing. For me it's like when you see a thick woman who shouldn't be wearing tight pants. To make it worse her back pockets have flashing sequins on them, calling unnecessary attention to a part that is best minimized.

The exhaust doesn't seem hot enough to do any damage, but we'll see. It's supposed to be easy enough to remove, and it can always be reapplied. For $65 I'm willing to take the chance.

If it pleases your eyes, why not? I personally like the design and IMO it looks flush and seems to belong there better than the rectangle-ish designs found in other guys. We all have different tastes and MB is smart enough to offer two options for their Es. But their luxury model is the one that does not show the exhaust.

You can also install the Lexon Exclusive rear bumper and quad exhaust.

I wish they would make a cheaper version. I don't want to spend $800 or whatever it is for the carbon fiber version.
