Default the button on the side of gear shift ??

hello everybody! I just got 2014 GS350
and i need your help to know what is the small button on the side of gear shift used for?

i cant find an answer in the user manual
here is a picture describes what I mean

seems like this is exactly where the gear shift release button is. May have to with the vinyl wrap you still have. I dont have this on my car.

I can't see any pictures but I'm assuming you're talking about the "Shift Lock". A flathead reveals a button that allows the shifter to move when stuck/locked

Interesting, mines is flat and flush, and it's a cover for the shift lock release. I wonder why yours looks like a button or ****?

I bet that's there for transporting the vehicle and is removed during dealer prep.
